Clear Choice Orthodontics

Constructed into an existing church worship hall adapted for use as an Orthodontic Office, the new Clear Choice Orthodontics (Dr. Ray McLendon DDS) takes advantage of high ceiling space to create a dramatic and airy environment for the doctors and patients alike. Utilizing "floating" ceiling planes, curvilinear forms with walls and column features that are not full height allows for an expanded perception of the high ceilings and creates an opportunity for significant use of indirect and natural lighting to provide a well illuminated environment without harsh lighting sources.

The practice caters to pediatric and adolescent patients, and the design motif of "theater" and "Hollywood" is employed to create an interior that is playful and aimed at the tastes of the youthful client base. Movie theater styled carpet, theatrical "barn door" lighting fixtures and the doctor´s collection of Hollywood memorabilia are utilized to create this themed space that even features an arcade style game room for further entertaining of the younger patients.

The project consists of a 5,500 sq. ft. dental office interiors that includes a large Training Area in addition to 14 Treatment Chairs comprised of 9 single Ortho Bays, 1 Double Ortho Bay and 1 Triple Bay. In addition, the Consultation Rooms have Consult/Treatment chairs within the rooms for additional diagnostic capacity. The remaining 3,500 sq. ft. of the old church´s administrative wing have been built out for use as future private offices to support future administrative / physician needs.
